Do solar lights work in winter and in bad weather?
Yes — that is exactly what they are sized for. The LiFePO4 batteries are rated to -25 °C and store several nights of reserve; the PIR eco-modes stretch autonomy through grey spells. Output is lower in December than in June, which the battery reserve is there to bridge.
Do I need an electrician or a building permit?
No electrician: there is no mains connection at all — you mount the light, it works. For street lights on private ground a permit is normally not required, but municipal rules vary; for public roadside installations, check with your commune.
What does "mounting pole not included" mean for street lights?
The ELS-DP lights clamp onto any standard steel pole of 60–76 mm diameter, or directly onto a facade. Poles are cheap and heavy to ship, so almost everyone sources them locally — any metal workshop or building supplier stocks them.
How long do the batteries last?
LiFePO4 packs are built for thousands of charge cycles — in practice many years of nightly use. When capacity eventually fades, the pack is replaceable; write to us with your model and we quote the spare part.
Can I pay by invoice?
Online we accept card, TWINT, Apple Pay and Google Pay via Stripe. For municipal or corporate orders of several street lights, contact us for a quote and invoice terms.
Do you deliver outside Switzerland?
The shop currently delivers to Swiss and Liechtenstein addresses. For EU projects, write to us — we quote case by case.
