Questions on this use case
Does the sensor trigger on animals?
PIR reacts to moving heat: a close cat may trigger it, a hedgehog rarely. Aim the sensor at human approach lines, at 2–2.5 m height, and false positives stay anecdotal.
What happens during a power cut?
Precisely nothing: the light does not depend on the grid. That is solar’s strongest security argument — the zone stays lit while the whole neighbourhood is dark.
